History
In 2001, Kimberly Richardson Consulting (KRC) was established
in Cleveland, Ohio specializing in providing grant writing
and other organizational development services to non-profit
agencies and public institutions. The mission of KRC is to
provide high-quality services which enhance the ability of
organizations to sustain their programs and services and increase
organizational effectiveness.
In 2003, Kimberly Richardson relocated to Birmingham, Alabama
where she established Kimberly Richardson Consulting, LLC
and began working locally to assist non-profit agencies and
faith-based organizations.
KRC is a 100% female and minority-owned company.
About Kim
Kimberly Richardson is the President and Principal Consultant
for Kimberly Richardson Consulting, LLC. With over ten (10)
years of grant writing and grants management experience, she
has successfully obtained funding within every sector of the
grant funding community, including federal, state and local
agencies, corporate funders, and public and private foundations.
Her professional experience includes employment within the
public sector, as well as the non-profit sector, where she
has worked in the areas of grants and program development,
budgeting, and program evaluation. Her program management
experience includes the administration of several federally-funded
grant programs, including:
- Ryan White Title I Program for HIV/AIDS Services - U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services
- Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) –
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
- Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control Program – U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
- Healthy Family/Healthy Start Infant Mortality Reduction
Program – U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Kimberly possesses a B.A. degree (Baldwin-Wallace College)
and a Masters of Science in Urban Studies/ Policy Analysis
(Cleveland State University). She is also a member of the
Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the American
Association of Grant Professionals (AAGP).

working with various sized nonprofit agencies, faith-based

Federal Grants Experience – Kimberly Richardson
is experienced in preparing federal grant applications. She
also has a clear understanding of federal regulations and
grants management issues. Over her career, she has played
a critical role as part of the managing team of four federally-funded
programs.
Commitment to Ethics - Ms. Richardson is a member
of the American Association of Grant Professionals (AAGP).
She is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals
(AFP) and adheres to its Code of Ethical Principles and Standards
of Professional Conduct.
Section 3 Business Concerns
– Under federally-funded contracts, the utilization
of KRC’s services will result in employment activities
that qualify under Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development
Act of 1968 (as amended) and that comply with HUD’s
regulations in 24 CFR part 135.
